It's Monday! What Are you reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them. (From thebookdate.)

I have a question: quite often I end up commenting on others' blogs, but am wondering if my comments get through or not? I comment or say something, but then I am told that my comment is being moderated...am just curious because I swear I commented on some blogs, but I don't see my comments in the comments section.

Aside from that, I am still reading The Master and the Maid by Laura Libricz as well as Forgotten Reflections by Young-Im Lee, so yeah, I didn't finish nor start anything this week. I also have decided to let one book skip ahead of others: that of the newest one by Amy Hatvany titled Tell Me Everything. (I have a strong feeling that I'll need to read it soon...) I haven't read any of her writings, so am wondering what I'll be in for?

  1. I can't comment about why your comments seem delayed. Some bloggers choose to moderate comments and others don't. I'm a one-book-at-a-time reader unless one book is losing my interest but I don't want to abandon it. It would be unusual for me to have 3 books going at a time. I'm afraid I'd mix up the plots and characters. Come see my week here and Happy New Year!

    1. LOL my mom's favorite question: How can I read 3 books without getting stuff mixed up? It used to be 5 books, but I cut back because I noticed I wasn't finishing as quickly. I'm enjoying 3 books actually. Maybe it helps that books tend to be different from one another for one reason or another. Happy New Years and hope you're enjoying your reads!

  2. I know for me while I work mostly in Safari when I want to comment I use Google chrome because my comments are just lost on Safari. The Abbott's Tale looks interesting and perhaps an Irish or Scottish author?

    1. I tend to use Google chrome as my default browser, although laptop for blogspot and a tablet for wordpress. The author is actually half British-half Irish, and The Abbot's Tale main character isn't fun to be around with...

  3. I switched to Wordpress about a year ago and I'm not always getting notifications that I need to moderate comments. I just found some waiting that had been there for 3 months! Yikes! Anyway, I also have the Amy Hatvany book waiting for me, although I'm not sure when I'm going to get to it.

    1. Yikes! Three months! Good luck in getting to Amy Hatvany book. From the first page (I did First Paragraph Tuesday) it's best described as a book containing a lot of controversial issues that tends to push things over the edge. I'm not a stranger to reading over the edge novels, but I think this might be one of my more controversial choices...
