1. Really desire that I can give up on getting certain books, or that I will hear from publicists about specific books. Any tips on how to give up? 2. Really need to write reviews for a lot of books as well. Am scared to think of how many books I have to review. 3. For February I decided to read a lot of books that are less than 300 pages in hopes of catching up with some books and decreasing my TBR list. 4. Am really enjoying reading the current three reads, which are The Wartime Sisters by Lynda Cohen LOIGMAN, Forgotten Reflections by Young Im Lee, and The Road to URBINO by Roma TEARNE. 5. Am still continuing to play Royal Chaos which is a fun game, just wish I could get to next levels a lot more easily.

Mainly because I am seeking somewhat shorter books and because I am pretty sure that a paperback release is happening, I decided to embark on reading The Wartime Sisters by Lynda Cohen LOIGMAN for Fresh Fiction website, which I am strongly enjoying, even though it's a WWII tale. What is different about it though is that it takes place in USA, and it doesn't have suffering or resistance or Europe. I understand the importance of WWII, but oh how often i wish that historical fiction could make use of other time periods besides WWII... We celebrated Lunar New Year of sorts, especially when we had a dish from a Chinese restaurant, and steamed rice for my monkey. Today was nice weather so he, I and my mom went to a small farm near my house. Unfortunately they didn't have any cows, although the farm does include Turkey's, chickens, sheep, pigs and donkeys. My monkey was completely enthralled by chickens and loved running into the chicken house and watching the chickens come in, peck at rocks and then leave or peck one another. Still lack of progress, but its okay, slowly but surely I am finishing up the books I am reading right now... ( from page 57, because 56 has an illustration on it...) 1. Today I had fun with my monkey being outside and building a railroad together for the trains. He also has started to pretend to be a cat and even tried to drink milk with his tongue instead of a straw. 2. I am still not finished with books that i have been reading for the last month or so...although in some I am halfway there, I suppose. 3. I am excited about Friday because it's Lunar New Year and there will be a little celebration planned, namely some food from a Chinese restaurant and my monkeys favorite desert: coconut cookies from a big store. 4. Am still having a lot of fun with Royal Chaos, so it kind of put in a reading cramp, but it's ok. 5. Kind of can't wait until I can start some new books. I even got a stack of books less than 300 pages. Maybe next I will read The Good Man by Ani Katz?

I can only imagine that readers will be confused when they are seeing the comparison for this week: why would you post a book that's going to come out in 2020 will compare it to a book that was published in late 18th century who no one has heard of? I think more than anything what motivated me to post this particular book is the summary: that the women in both novels are trying to have perfect lives, and perhaps they may or may not succeed.
