I also am almost done with The Wartime Sisters. So January passed, and I hadn't posted any reviews on my blog...oye, it's bad. I should be posting a few in February, and should try to keep up with my blogging dailies. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) This weekend was pretty fun so far. We celebrated Lunar New Year of sorts, especially when we had a dish from a Chinese restaurant, and steamed rice for my monkey. Today was nice weather so he, I and my mom went to a small farm near my house. Unfortunately they didn't have any cows, although the farm does include Turkey's, chickens, sheep, pigs and donkeys. My monkey was completely enthralled by chickens and loved running into the chicken house and watching the chickens come in, peck at rocks and then leave or peck one another. Bookwise, I am almost done with Run Me To Earth and perhaps a hundred pages or so away from finishing Stefans Promi...

See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) So I'm continuing to play Royal Chaos, which is an addictive game, and it eats away at my time. My monkey and I went to a playground today and he had a lot of fun playing with a four year old girl building sand castles out of rock and then filling up bucket with rocks and watching them slide down the slide. He also began to be sleep resistant and in some cases a bit ritualistic. Few days back I tried to read him some Russian fairy tales in Russian, and I couldn't get past the violence, although it was meant to be funny, I know. As I was reading the part about them eating a rabbit, I froze and just skipped over that. I did not realize I would be...

See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) Good news is that my little monkey is finally himself, so I guess he recovered from the flu? He is playing with trains, trains and trains, and I also am noticing that he is starting to ask me detailed questions, namely about pictures in books, but still, I am amazed at his cleverness. I also have begun playing Royal Chaos once more, so yeah, very addictive game. Bookwise, am still continuing with Forgotten Reflections and The Master and the Maid, although I am almost done with the latter. I also have decided to instead read a book for a book tour next, and afterwards I will travel to 12th century through Sharon Kan Penman's book, When christ an...

Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) Luckily, my monkey is kind of over the flu, thank goodness, so its back to trains, trains, and even more trains. For New Years, he got a cool railway set along with a booklet showing him other products made by the same company. He has also been reminding me what he wants for next upcoming New Years, which includes everything in the booklet. Also, his birthday is coming up on March 23rd...We tried going walking today, but apparently I underestimated the flu and that he hasn't fully healed yet from it, which means the walk was cut too short.  We also have been enjoying looking at a dinosaur book we checked out from the library which has lots o...

Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) This week it really seems to be true: when it rain, it pours. This week got a lot of books, and a lot more than I thought I'd get, so please excuse the long post. For my bookish news, I am done with The Limits of the World by Jennifer Acker as well as The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Am now reading Forgotten Reflections by Young-Im Lee and The Master and the Maid by Laura Libricz.  Because my monkey got sick on the eve of 25th, I hadn't done a lot of reading, just a lot of worrying. It turns out he has flu type B but I am happy to say that his spirit is coming up. It is heartbreaking and sad watching him lie do...

See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) So it has been a few days since I've finished I'm Fine and Neither Are You by Camille Pagan? I swear a week has passed! I am finishing up The Wife Between us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen and am midway through The Limits of the World by Jennifer Acker, both novels I'm enjoying. Instead of reading Anonymous Girl by the same authors as The Wife Between Us, I've decided to read short books, and first on my list will be Paul Yoon's upcoming novel; Run Me To Earth as well as Master and the Maid by Laura Libricz.  This week the only thing I can say is we went to look at various decorations of houses, which my monkey enjoye...

See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) I have finished Miracle Creek by Angie Kim, and oh boy, that was the most intense read of my life. (How come it didn't win 2019 Goodreads awards?!) I am now reading I'm Fine and Neither Are You by Camille Pagan and The Limits of the World by Jennifer Acker. I am feeling to be in a book slump of sorts, and right now I am looking forward to starting and reading a thriller, namely The Wife Between us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. (Pity I won't get the third book they wrote, You Are Not Alone!)  Took my monkey to the playground today and he played with a seven year old girl. When it was time to go, he was very upset and said...

Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme " (From Caffeinated Reviewer blog) Few days back, I have finally begun the book I hungered for: the book that I have been longing to read ever since I received it: and this book was The Miracle Creek by Angie Kim, which I will read and review for Fresh Fiction. I am thirty pages into it, but oh my gosh, so exciting, so structured! I sincerely hope it will win Goodreads awards.  I also finally got the book that I've been waiting to get since November 17th, 2019 from ebay: Yes, The Golden Wolf by Linnea Hartsuyker came! Other than that, nothing new neither for me nor my monkey.  Last week on the blog:  Great kids don't happen  HADAMAR the house of SHUDDERS B...
