#45 Barbie Movie

No books last week. Week was the same, pretty much hot and miserable. I am trying to prepare myself mentally for the fact that my son will go to second grade quite soon. I also literally confronted the breadcrumber ghoster with what he wants from me and lets say silence speaks volumes. I don't know if I will see him again or not, or if this is a permanent disappearing act. Perhaps its a good thing I don't really care. Need to write some more reviews on some neglected finished books. I also watched Barbie movie with my younger sister, and I am certainly not used to the rushing pace of movies. Last time I watched a movie is perhaps ten or more years ago, and since then I hadn't watched any movie whatsoever. I think I expected for movies to be like books (BIG MISTAKE) but they were simply rush rush rush. Did I like the Barbie movie? I think I did. It was fun and interesting, but like I mentioned it seemed too quick.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Paragraph: I'm continuing to read THE SUN AND THE VOID by Gabriela Romero Lacruz as well as THE PHOENIX KING by Aparna Verma, both good books. Perhaps in a week or so I will be done with THE SUN AND THE VOID and will begin reading THE UNBOUND EMPIRE by Melissa Caruso. I also need to review at least six books on this blog, and those books have been waiting a long time to be reviewed.
