#34 End of First Grade

It's official. This is my son's last week as a first grader. He has another two teeth loose, ones on bottom next to main ones. Surprisingly I got one book, which one can see below. I also have been watching documentaries, namely WWII ones and am wondering why are we so Eurocentric? For example, has anyone in Europe done a documentary about any Chinese dynasties or anything of the kind? Somehow I won't be surprised if the answer is no. Also, aside from either bible or WWII, no documentaries relating to Jews. It's akin to erasing the 5,000 years of history of existence.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Paragraph: So I have begun reading THE SHADOW OF THE GODS by John Gwynne and yes, am strongly liking it. I am also continuing to read Rowenna Miller's THE FAIRY BARGAINS OF PROSPECT HILL which took me a bit longer to get into but which I'm also enjoying. Also need to review books and write to certain publicist about, well, me finishing up a lot of books they sent over...
