#53 Is my birthday over yet?

See the above for my feelings towards the next week. Few good things did happen the previous week, although I am still awaiting for Daniel Abraham's book THE BLADE OF DREAM. In addition to that, I'm really excited to read Rachel Gillig's second book of The Shepherd King (I don't know if its a trilogy or a duology?) I did end up meeting someone, but not sure whether or not that person will disappear. The weather is in 90s or a bit higher sometimes, although it doesn't reach the 100s as in summer, but still, torture weather. I really hope for the books I posted titled 'Birthday Desires' but I know its a hopeless feeling. I'm not planning on celebrating my birthday for the curious readers. I don't see the point in it to be honest.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Paragraph: Much to mine surprise, I've finished a few books this last week. I am still reading THE HEXOLOGISTS by Josiah Bancroft which reminds me quite a lot of reading a novel from 1800s because it takes awhile to understand and see the humor written in the pages. Also, in my opinion, THE HEXOLOGISTS is definitely not a book to rush through but instead it asks us to slow down. I have also finished reading THE FAMILY IZQUIERIDO by Ruben Degollado as well as SUMMER OF RECKONING by Marion Brunet. Both are good and intense reads, more so SUMMER OF RECKONING. Reviews will definitely be posted for those two and other books I need to review soon hopefully.
