If you are a nurse, nursing student, want to be a nurse or will be going into the hospital anytime soon, check out this story. Joel writes about the things that nurses think but never dare to say out loud.
Personal Opinion
First of all, I'm not a nurse, and one of the reasons I decided to read and review it is because someone I knew is planning on becoming a nurse, and I hoped it would give me some perspective and understanding of what the person will go through. What's good is that its written as a graphic memoir, which means that it can be a short read for those in a hurry, and although the story is addictive and there were parts I understand, I do feel its more for people who are familiar with being nurses because the language and words that were used weren't familiar to me. Also as well, the graphic memoir humanizes those in the medical profession and for those that view doctors and nurses as superheroes, it will be a different story when they realize how human everyone is.
