#39 Longing for what cannot happen
Months ago, I read a recent Dogman book to my then six year old son where a character explained that by making others angry they are bringing happiness to them. I have to admit that was a bit mind-blowing, especially considering the addictive nature of anger. Reason I am bringing up is because, well, just as one situation is resolved for the better (yay!) there is always a reminder of lack of something within me. I long for moments of the past, when I was in my twenties, exploring what is long gone. I do my best to find happiness in my thirties, but at almost 38 years of age, there aren't moments that have touched me as deeply as when I was in my twenties. I long for what cannot happen, namely love of my life changing his mind about marriage or even getting a child, (he had a vasectomy...) and I did try for four years not to talk with him, but despite that, he continued to be in my heart, and we reconnected in 2018. I am often in opinion that people just settle when its time for serious relationship. There is no great love, no fireworks or sparks. There is only settling down and eventual breakup. The person one ends up with is not the love of life, but merely a poor replacement.
On Saturday went blueberry picking which was fun, although blueberries from last year were a lot better than this year. My son was also invited to another boy's birthday party, which he is excited about, and an issue resolved itself so yay for now! Other than that, just pretty much stayed at home and did the usual. I also have discovered an album by Uhm Jung Hwa that I have never even heard of before; Prestige. I also found an easy to make bulgogi recipe, which I'm trying out so wish me luck!

Top Ten Tuesday
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
How it works:
I assign each Tuesday a topic and then post my top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join me and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
You’ll find the schedule of upcoming TTT topics below so you can plan ahead. I’ll post a Linky here on the blog each week so you can link up your post (if you want). If you don’t have a blog, post your picks in the comment section below! Have tons of fun talking books and getting to know your fellow bloggers!
NOTE: If a weekly topic is listed as a “freebie”, you are invited to come up with your own topic. Sometimes I will give your topic a theme, such as “love”, a season, or an upcoming holiday. That just means that you can come up with any topic you want that fits under that umbrella.
You’re more than welcome to use the Top Ten Tuesday image I designed above (or any of my older/seasonal ones), or make your own that fits your site’s theme.

June 9: Reading Along with Monthly Themes (Jillian @ Jillian the Bookish Butterfly)
Prompts: With pride month in June, Black history month in February, Women’s history month in March, and so many more, themes related to race, identity and social justice hold a lot of significance for many communities. There are often reading challenges set around these themes as well. Do you ever read along with monthly themes? How do you think this helps with diversifying reading? And what about the rest of the year?
