Personal Opinion:

Quite often, the idea of toxic relationship includes physical abuse, and emotional and mental control that the perpetrator has over the victim is either ignored or overlooked. Also, how often do people make snap judgments about the victim, always thinking that wealth, education and hobbies will protect us from being in their shoes? In this memoir, Kelly Smith dares to lay her thoughts and soul bare for our scrutiny, helping the readers understand how her promising relationship turned into hell from earth as well as the importance of self care and self love, because not all scars are visible, and many are hidden from the eye.
