#38 Still June Part Two

Bad news: it's still June. Good news June is almost over. I am pretty sure that I spent the week inside just doing my usual of reading, playing games and trying to take care of my son. We did end up celebrating Father's Day on Saturday, which was fun, but other than that, the same in my opinion. More than likely this will be last time in a long time that I will get books. I am trying to prepare myself for acceptance of bad news for me, and I am not sure its working.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started on J Kaye’s blog and then was hosted by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn here at The Book Date.

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels or anything in those genres – join them.

Paragraph: I have finished reading GIRLFRIEND ON MARS by Deborah Willis which really was pretty interesting, but for now my thoughts are formulating on the story, trying to understand what I have read. I am also almost done with THE SEVEN MOONS OF MAALI ALMEIDA by Shehan Karunatilaka which does frustrate me because of so much slang, and the fact I'm not familiar nor Sri Lankan, and for me its annoying to go to the internet to look something up.
